Tonikaku Cawaii Chapter 186
Tonikaku Kawaii Fly Me to the Moon 186
トニカクカワイイ 186
Spoiler Summary/Synopsis:
Earlier in the graveyard, Hakase finds a large fragment of something. Later, she shows it to Hotaru. Neither can read what is written on the fragment. Kaguya identifies multiple languages, with French being the newest. However, the text is too faded for her to read.
Later that night, Tsukasa sits on the engawa, looking at the moon and thinking. Kaguya joins her as she is having trouble sleeping. Kaguya appreciates the silence of the place, pleasing Tsukasa. However, Tsukasa’s attitude swiftly changes when Kaguya produces the fragment Hakase found.
Kaguya decides not to press Tsukasa for the story behind the fragment. However, she does want to know what the fragment is part of. Tsukasa concedes it is part of a mask, specifically the upper right part. Further, Tsukasa states that it belonged to someone who wanted to change the world. The mask fragment is a broken remnant of their soul.
Thoughts/Review:
A new mystery for Tsukasa is properly introduced in Tonikaku Cawaii Chapter 186.
Masked Avenger?
Throughout the series, we know that Tsukasa has apparently done a lot of things she’s not happy about. Hata-sensei has implied that Tsukasa has killed a lot of people in her life, starting with her former village. That was done in self defense, and thus completely understandable.
That said, in Tonikaku Cawaii Chapter 186, we see that Tsukasa wore a cloak and a mask. This was apparently part of an outfit she wore while attempting to change the world. Tsukasa’s outfit and tone when recollecting this made her seem like some sort of avenging character in the past. Considering all of the writing on the mask fragment, it would seem that Tsukasa traveled the world wearing the mask.
I can imagine that in her mask, Tsukasa went out saving people, bringing many back to Kyoumaru Mansion. We’ll see how Hata-sensei continues to explore this aspect of Tsukasa’s life. However, it was pretty clear that Tsukasa didn’t appreciate Kaguya having the mask fragment. Thus I am concluding that Tsukasa may have done terrible things under the mask.
Final Thoughts and Conclusion
In the end, Tonikaku Cawaii Chapter 186 resumed plot, pointing to Tsukasa’s unexplored, and possibly shameful past.
